These bridges were an essential part of the road system and are a perfect example of their innovation. They were commonly used by Chasqui runners carrying messages throughout the Inca Empire.\r

At the time the bridge was constructed was the third longest suspension bridge in the world. Terrorists who beheaded tourists in Atlas Mountains sentenced to death

Salé, Morocco, Jul 18 (EFE).- Three terrorists who beheaded two Scandinavian tourists in the Atlas Mountains have been sentenced to death.
 
Louisa Vesterager Jespersen, 24, from Denmark, and Maren Ueland, 28, from Norway, were found murdered in their tent in Morocco in December.
 
Abdessamad Ejjoud, a 25-year-old street seller, carpenters Younes Ouaziyad, 27, and Rachid Afatti, 33, had all sworn allegiance to the so-called Islamic State before carrying out the brutal killings.
 
The trio were given the death penalty at a court in Salé, near the city of Rabat, on Thursday.
 
All three had previously confessed to the murder of the two women, who were mountaineering in the village of Imlil, near Mount Toubkal, the highest peak of the range in north Africa.
 
Another 21 defendants were also convicted for varying degrees of involvement in the crimes and were handed sentences of between five years and life imprisonment.
 
The main charges included terrorist offences, possession and use of weapons and attempts to manufacture explosives.

This past week Dr Semir Osmanagich has returned from a 22 day expedition into the Cambodian jungle as a member of a controversial team exploring the under belly of the Koh Ker pyramid, that has been discovered within the jungles.\r

Dr Osmanagić claims on the surface of, and underneath the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun, archaeological digs have also found quartz crystals. The crystal is present in the underground tunnels also.\r
A Finnish researcher called Mika Virpiranta has also found 26 volcanic lines leading to the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun.\r
Mr Osmanagić believes his research also shows the importance of the location of the pyramids in Visoko.\r
He said: My research and arguments that the pyramids were built worldwide, and that the oldest pyramids are also the most superior ones, has led to situations where Egyptologists have created a wall of hostility towards me.\r
Our evidence which indicates that the oldest and highest quality concrete on Earth can be found at the Pyramid of the Sun, and the existence of the largest network of prehistoric tunnels has resulted in written petitions being sent to the European Archaeological Association fighting against our research being made public.\r
However, time and scientific arguments confirm that we were right and they are wrong.\r

El Deutsche Bank pagará 590 millones de euros en EEUU y el Reino Unido por lavado de dinero ruso

El Deutsche Bank aceptar pagar una multa de 590 millones de euros a los reguladores financieros estadounidense y británico para cerrar un caso de lavado de dinero ruso. El banco alemán pagará alrededor de dos terceras partes de esta cantidad en Estados Unidos y el tercio restante en el Reino Unido. Los reguladores probaron que entre 2011 y 2015, la entidad permitió a clientes comprar acciones en Moscú en rublos para luego venderlos casi al instante en Londres o Nueva York en otras divisas en un montaje para esconcer dinero negro.

Se calcula que así salieron de Rusia más de nueve mil millones de euros. Para el regulador británico, se trata de la mayor multa jamás inflingida. El Deutsche Bank acaba de pactar, por otro lado, una multa de 6.700 millones de euros en Estados Unidos por las ‘hipoteca basura’.
